Organisational consulting for clear workflows and responsibilities

Process mapResponsibilitiesOrganisation handbookTools

Monday morning, three colleagues ask about the same quote, and nobody knows who signs it off. Friction like that costs hours every week without ever showing up in a report. Our organisational consulting sorts out workflows, responsibilities and tools so your team can get on with the work instead of chasing answers.

Familiar signs in day-to-day work

  • Even small decisions end up with the managing director
  • Client data is scattered across emails, spreadsheets and chat threads
  • New hires take weeks to understand how things are done
  • Everyone on the team uses a different tool for their tasks
  • When someone is on holiday or off sick, a whole area grinds to a halt

If two of these sound familiar, the problem is usually missing agreements rather than the wrong people.

How the work runs

We start by talking to the people who do the work. The person who writes quotes or checks invoices every day knows exactly where the detours are. At the same time, we look at which software is in use and where information is being maintained twice.

The result is a process map. On a single page it shows the core workflows of your business, from first contact to invoice, and marks the breaks and waiting times. We go through the map with you and agree which workflows to reorganise first.

For each one we write down how it should run: who starts it, who decides, who is informed, where the result is stored. We then introduce the changes to the team step by step, not all on one cut-over date.

Roles and responsibilities

Many small companies run for years without written roles, and that works while everyone sits at the same table. The first team lead or a second location changes that quickly. We draw up a responsibility matrix that records, for each task, who is accountable and who signs off. Job descriptions are easy to write once it exists.

Tools that fit your size

We do not recommend software because it happens to be popular. A team of six does not need an enterprise system. A shared task board, a well-structured file store and a CRM for client contacts are often enough. We look at what you already have before suggesting anything new.

Handover to your team

At the end you receive a short organisation handbook containing the process map, workflow descriptions and responsibility matrix. We train the people who will keep these documents up to date. Every workflow description gets a named owner and the date it was last reviewed.

Where strategy and projects come in

Organisational consulting assumes you already know where the company is heading. If that direction is missing, we start with strategy and growth. If the task is a one-off with a start and an end, such as introducing a new system, a dedicated project with its own project lead is the better format.

We often work with business owners who formed their company through our business setup in a Dubai free zone and are now building a local team. Employment contracts, labour law and tax remain matters for the relevant specialist advisers. We work with clients in Dubai and in German-speaking Europe, at our office in Meydan or by video. FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Management & Organisation

How does organisational consulting differ from strategy consulting?

Strategy sets goals, markets and priorities. Organisational consulting makes sure that workflows, roles and tools support those goals in daily work. The two interlock, but you can commission them separately.

Does the business have to pause during the changeover?

No. We reorganise one workflow after another and introduce changes while the business keeps running. We usually begin with the workflow that generates the most questions.

Do you work with teams spread across several countries?

Yes. When part of the team sits in Dubai and part in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, clean handovers and a shared file store matter even more. In our organisational consulting we plan for time differences and availability from day one.
